What Happened Yesterday

A Musical Chronology of Neil Young

by FiL Wisneski
(last updated 98/08/20)

  • This is a work-in-progress, and is constantly being fine-tuned. Some dates are estimates. Corrections would be greatly appreciated.
  • "FRIENDS" is a catch-all designation for conglomerations of people Neil has toured/recorded with that weren't given band names.
  • Parentheses around a name means they played on only a few songs or were only on part of a tour.
  • See the companion piece Who's Played With Neil? for information on lineups.
  • All release dates are for the USA.

To Rusties and Zumans everywhere for their invaluable help in compiling this, whether they knew it or not.
