Attention Aussie Rusties...
Well, Melbourne Rusties, more specifically.

Do any of you want to have a beer or two in the next couple of days? Mohan (Melb) and I (Hobart) are getting together for a QLD in Melbourne in the next couple of days.

If any of you have any ideas, let me know. Email will be fine up to around midday tomorrow (Wednesday), but you can catch me on 0418 565 666 at any time. And if any Rusties from the rest of the world want to make a stupidly expensive phone call to me, +61 418 565 666.

And I'm bringing tapes with me, and I'm not afraid to use them. ;-)

Fest Report

A few days ago, there was held what was possibly (correct me if I'm wrong) the first Aussie RustFest. In Melbourne on Wednesday, Mohan (who is without a handle, and is waiting for suggestions) and I had a few beers and a few ... well you know what I mean ... and listened to Neil (and Bob) for a couple of hours.

I introduced Mohan to the wonderful world of Ordinary People, and he spent the next four days taping all the stuff that Mark Powderfinger Klus sent over to me a month or two ago. I've never known the kind of hospitality that Mohan showed!

That's what's special about the Rust List ... people who don't know each other, with the exception of a couple of emails, who will open their homes and lives! From the moment I got out of the cab he was there with open arms and we had a great couple of hours listening to Neil et al through his superb system.

The rest of the (early) night is a bit of a blur. Needless to say I had a good night - seeing most of Crowded House (email me for details) and heaps of comedy in the next few days. Can't remember a set list of what we listened to, but hey...
