      . . . According to the excellent
      Neil Young Web page HyperRust
      Never Sleeps (http://HyperRust.org/),
      Young and his management
      have become aware of the
page and plan to start contributing
      new information to it. They
can probably learn a thing or two
themselves; the page is an ex-
      haustive compilation of every-
thing you could possibly want to
      know, with unbelievably com-
      plete discographies and the de-
      finitive list of unreleased Young
songs. I've never seen a page this
      complete on any artist.

From an anecdote by Graham Nash that was post-
ed last May on HyperRust, a Web site devoted to
Neil Young. The story first appeared in a booklet
that accompanied CSN, a 1991 set of four com-
pact discs by Crosby, Stills & Nash.

(Followed by the story from HyperRust.)

How do you get from Toronto to Madison Square Garden? Practice,
practice, practice. Here you can learn how to play the songs of Neil
Young! Whether you're a mellow "Sugar Mountain" type or a rockin'
"Cowgirl In The Sand," this site will have you playing just like Neil.
Well, maybe not that good. It all depends on you. "Created by
musicians for musicians," you'll not only find out what chords are
involved, but you'll also learn the fretboard fingerings and Neil
Young's style of playing for any of his hundreds of songs. These
musicians are true Neil fans and have spent hours watching and
listening to his style in concert, on record and on video. This site also
features rumours, bio information, past tour data and information
about The Bridge School, which was founded by Neil Young and his
    wife to help handicapped children.

Broadcast Media Recognition

  • While sitting in a parking lot in Monterey, California on Saturday, March 1, 1996, listening to a Monterey "classic rock" radio station...

At 6:07 P.M. the DJ says between songs, "I've got Neil Young cued up, but before I play that, I have a story by Graham Nash that is on HyperRust." She then read the More Barn story, concluding with "And Neil shouted back, "MORE BARN!" Then she played Cinnamon Girl.
