Subject: HORDE in Vermont update
Today's Burlington Free Press reports that Jay Strausser and his All Points Bookings have gotten the goahead from the town of Highgate and the Franklin County Field Days site for three concerts this summer. First will be the Further Festival on July 5. The other two are expected to be HORDE and Another Roadside Attraction. Possible dates for the two are given as July 26, Aug 5 and Aug 9.
Mighty good news for the north country. Front page news.

Subject: HORDE fest in Denver
Hi everyone,
In case it hasn't been mentioned yet, Neil will be playing at the HORDE Fest in Denver, Co on July 20th at Fiddler's Green (outdoor amphitheater). Tickets have not gone on sale yet.
I read this in the Denver local newspaper (Rocky Mountain News, Spotlight section) on Friday. They had an entire section about upcoming summer concerts, festivals, and events. There was even a cool picture of The Man himself which I immediately clipped and stuck on my refrigerator! I called ticketmaster on Saturday morning (thinking that tickets might be on sale already) and they had the information in their computers but no time given on when the tickets would go on sale. The only thing definite is that Neil will be playing at the festival on July 20th at Fiddler's Green.

There was some confusion yesterday over the Malmö date, due
to two different newspapers reporting different dates. However
the promoter's website
confirms the date of the show as June 11. No other details currently

Looking closely at that page, it's pretty obvious what happened.
The Queensryche show right beside it on the page is now marked
for ticket sales this Saturday. Somebody originally updated the
wrong cell in the table. But it's now fixed.

There should be another 10,000 tickets going on sale
soon after the site limit was increased at a council meeting
on Monday evening. They're bound to go quickly though.

After everything is confirmed and tickets are on sale, one important note is to be made: The place is not that large, about 2000 tickets I've been told. So it will be soon sold out, most likely being the only show in northern Germany.
Anyway my wish came true: Not a festival, but a rather small venue.
Ok it's not the OPL but much better than the 50,000 crowds.
Ciao

Found in today's Italian national newspaper L'Unitā:
"Neil Young will play in Italy with Crazy Horse next July, 5th 1997 at the PISTOIA BLUES FESTIVAL".The Pistoia Blues Festival is a very good festival (not only blues) that in the previous editions featured people like Bob Dylan, Santana, Buddy Guy, and many others. Subject: Torhout/Werchter out
Neil Young is not playing on the Torhout/Werchter festival this year. The (official) bill has just been completed and Neil is not on it. Maybe (just maybe) this sad message could turn into a good one. I've heard rumours about an indoor Belgium concert. Could be, plenty of free dates to choose from. It has been ten years since Neil played indoors in Belgium.
Keep hope alive.

Perhaps 1 week > later at the DoctorMusic Festival in Spain too.Note that, despite the "wish list" on the DoctorMusic web site, it's not likely Neil will be there, since the Seattle H.O.R.D.E. opener is that weekend. I guess that if Neil played the opening night of Dr.Music, he COULD jet 1/3 of the way around the world for the H.O.R.D.E. opener, but moving all his equipment and Crazy Horse and everything too -- I kinda doubt it...
The last I heard from the Provinssirock organizers was that they were arranging a flight for Neil from Oslo. So if he's playing in Norway June 13th, he should be in Provinssi June 14th or 15th. Their web page only shows a big red question mark...
